UNIPRIX STADIUM
"A PLACE OF SPORT AND LEISURE"
The Uniprix Stadium, which hosts numerous sporting and special events, is a great entertainment venue located in Montreal’s Jarry Park. Formerly known as Jarry Park Stadium, Uniprix Stadium was previously dedicated to baseball. In 1960, it welcomed the Montreal junior baseball league and in 1969 became home to the Montreal Expos. In 1981, the stadium hosted its first international tennis tournament, one of the biggest sporting events in Montreal. Following major renovations in 1996 and 2004, Uniprix Stadium is now made up of a Centre Court (11, 437 seats), Court 1 (4, 517 seats) as well as 10 outdoor and 12 indoor tennis courts. Throughout the year, Uniprix Stadium hosts music concerts, corporate banquets and sporting events including the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank.
In April 2004, the Jarry Park Tennis Center became the Uniprix Stadium, the new namesake of the largest chain of independent pharmacists in Quebec. Since Uniprix-affiliated pharmacists put health above all else, it was only natural that they create a long-term partnership with tennis.
Whether you’re an amateur or professional, playing tennis is about health, enthusiasm and doing your personal best. These are the fundamental values of the Uniprix team.
